Rommel Hernandez began his culinary career inspired by his Spanish heritage and the rich food culture of New Orleans. After serving in the Navy, he returned home and turned his passion into a business, founding Rommel's Catering over 35 years ago. What started as a small family operation has grown into one of the most trusted catering names in the greater New Orleans area, serving everything from intimate private dinners to large-scale corporate events.

Rex Hernandez
Owner / Chef de Cuisine
Rex Hernandez grew up in the kitchen alongside his father, learning the craft from the ground up. A graduate of Delgado Community College's culinary program, Rex now leads day-to-day operations, bringing a modern sensibility to the family's time-tested recipes. Under his direction, Rommel's Catering continues to evolve while staying true to the bold, authentic flavors that built the business.
